How to apply

Each year BUTEX awards a number of scholarships to students studying abroad for either a semester or for a whole academic year.

The value of each scholarship is £500 and will be paid to the winners once they have arrived and registered at their host university.

Applications for students studying abroad during academic year 2017/18 are now being accepted and the deadline for all applications will be the 15th June 2017.

HOW TO APPLY

You have two options: design a poster or answer the question “Studying Abroad – Global Learning, Global Life-changing. The study abroad experience can have a major impact on a student’s career, academic outcome and skills development. Discuss.”

 

Please choose one of these options. Applicants are not permitted to submit more than one entry.

OPTION 1: DESIGN A POSTER

    1. Step One
      Complete the Scholarship application form Application-Form-Poster-Entries 2017-2018
    2. Step Two
      Submit a picture or poster promoting study abroad. The dimensions of your picture/poster must not exceed an A4 sheet of paper (210 mm x 297 mm). In the US this is equivalent to ‘letter’ sized paper (8.5” x 11”).
    3. Step Three
      Picture / Poster applications should be sent by post to:BUTEX Scholarship Competition,
      Julie Leverett, BUTEX Administrator, 4 Clifton Drive, Ashby de la Zouch, UK LE65 2QL

Entries will be mounted and displayed so that they can be judged by BUTEX members. This means that we do need entries to arrive by post as hard copies. Please note, we cannot send entrants confirmation of receipt of their entry.

OPTION 2: ANSWER THE QUESTION
