Are you eligible?

Each year BUTEX awards a number of scholarships to students studying abroad for either a semester or for a whole academic year.

The value of each scholarship is £500 and will be paid to the winners once they have arrived and registered at their host university.

Applications for students studying abroad during academic year 2013/14 are now being accepted and the deadline for all applications will be the 31st May 2013.

Scholarships for UK Students

The Scholarships are open to all undergraduate students currently registered at a UK university which is BUTEX-affiliated. To be eligible to apply you must have;

  • been offered a study abroad or exchange place which is not eligible for an ERASMUS grant.
  • your study abroad or exchange placement must be for the academic year 2013 / 2014 (i.e. commence at either the start of the September / October term 2013 or, if you are a semester 2 student, at the start of the January / February term 2014.
  • your place must be for a minimum of one semester.

Scholarships for International Students

The Scholarships are open to all undergraduate students whose study abroad placement is not eligible for an ERASMUS grant. To be eligible to apply you must have;

  • been offered a study abroad or exchange place at a UK university or college which is BUTEX-affiliated.
  • your study abroad or exchange placement must be for the academic year 2013 / 2014 (i.e. commence at either the start of the September / October term 2013 or, if you are a semester 2 student, at the start of the January / February term 2014.
  • your place must be for a minimum of one semester.
